In line with the data announced at the end of March 2006, MIC corrected the number of contracts for DSL access services at the end of September 2005 for Kyoto Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture, and Nara Prefecture, and at the end of December 2005 for Mie Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, Wakayama Prefecture, Fukuoka Prefecture, and Nagasaki Prefecture. |
| * |
Since the Rules for Reporting on Telecommunications Business did not set out any provisions regarding the number of contracts for broadband services by prefecture, MIC did not tally the information before the end of December 2004 and at the end of June 2005. |

Rows are shaded for the top three prefectures in descending order of the number of contracts. |
