The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today, in preparation for smooth live digital broadcasting, inquired to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chairman: Junichi HAMADA, President of Tokyo University) regarding the partial revision proposal for wireless equipment regulations and technical regulations conformity certification of special wireless equipment in order to add additional technical standards for wireless equipment (gap filler) to perform television broadcasts that connect to cable television networks with a small amount of power (less than 50mW.)
Therefore, public comments will be accepted regarding this ordinance proposal from October 15 to November 16, 2009.
