Publication of the 2nd Emergency Measures for Digitalizing Shared Facilities in Preparation for the Expedition of Digital Television for Buildings in Shadow and Condominiums


The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has been holding the Council for the Promotion of Shared Digital Facilities (Chairman: Yoshihiro Oto, Professor of the Literature Department at Sophia University) since July 2009 and this council has put together the Emergency Measures for Digitalizing Shared Facilities on September 15. The 2nd Emergency Measures for Digitalizing Shared Facilities has been formulated to further strengthen activities.

Outline of the 2nd Emergency Measures for Digitalization of Shared Facilities

1) Publication of the roadmap for the digitalization of community housing and facilities with poor reception has been published and a strategy to speed up the digitalization through unique local activities and broadcast publicity have been created.

2) Approaching facilities with poor reception without prior notice to speed up digitalization and publicity activities in locations which can individually receive reception.

3) Displaying stickers at locations which have switched to digital television and offering information to residents of condominiums to speed up the transfer process.
