The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) and the Consumer Affairs Agency as of December 4, have acted against Electric Operation Inc. regarding the transmission of advertisements for the “Chocolat” dating site through electronic mail which violated the laws for the appropriate transmission of specified electronic mail based on Article 7 of this Act (2002 Act No. 26).

In addition, this is the first time in which the Minister of Internal Affairs has requested the submission of information on senders from a telecommunications business based on Article 29 and enforced measures based on Article 7 of the same act.
