The Information and Communications Agency and Postal Services Council (Chairman: Atsushi Takahashi, President of Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co., Ltd.) have today received an inquiry from the Minister of Internal Affairs regarding the Draft Changes to Interconnection Tariffs concerning Category I Designated Telecommunications Facilities of NTT East and NTT West (Revision of 2010 Interconnection Charges Based on the Historical Cost Method).

Therefore, comments will be accepted from today, December 15 to Thursday, January 14, 2009 regarding this proposal.

Background

This proposal is to revise the 2010 interconnection charges for which the exclusive line historical cost method is being applied and to revise other procedure charges.
