The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has today received a response from the Information and Communications Administration and Postal Services Council (Chairman: Atsushi Takahashi, President of Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co., Ltd.) regarding the partial revision of the Telecommunications Business Act Enforcement Regulation (October 10, 2009 Inquiry No. 3014).

In conjunction with this revision, public comments were accepted from October 27 to November 26, 2009 regarding the inquiry matters along with matters without an inquiry and a total of 5 comments were received.

The MIC plans to quickly revise a part of the Telecommunications Business Act Enforcement Regulation based on this verdict and the results of the public comments submitted.
