The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has received a verdict from the Radio and Regulatory Council (Chairman: Hiroshi HARASHIMA, Professor of Tokyo University) today regarding the partial revision proposal for the Frequency Allocation Plan and revision of a part of the Wireless Equipment Regulations in order to introduce a multilateration system to assure the safe travel of aircraft, which stated that the original plan was appropriate.

In addition, public comments were accepted from Wednesday, October 14 to Friday, November 13, 2009 regarding this ordinance proposal and related ordinance proposals, and no comments were submitted.

The MIC plans to revise this ordinance and other related ordinances based on the verdict and the results of public comments.
