The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) created a revision proposal for a part of the Cable Television Broadcast Act related Screen Standards (January 6, 2001 MIC Ordinance No. 69) for the protection of broadcast recipients and the sound transmission of cable television broadcasting based on the digitalization of broadcasting and other environmental changes surrounding cable television broadcasts. Public comments were accepted regarding this proposal from Thursday, November 5 to Monday, December 7, 2009.

As a result, a total of five comments were submitted and these comments along with the ideas of the MIC concerning these comments have been published.
