Recently telecommunications services have become more diversified and many different services including cellular phones, PHS and the Internet can be used freely. On the other hand, services have become more complicated and there is no shortage of users caught in telecommunications trouble.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is accepting complaints and counseling regarding telecommunications services at the Telecommunications Consumer Council Center and Bureau of Telecommunications. Trends of complaints and counseling for April to September 2009 have also been put together. In conjunction with these trends, information is also being offered to help other consumers avoid running into telecommunications problems through examples of complaints and counseling received, especially over the winter and New Year’s holidays.
