The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Digital Tuner Support Center accepted applications from service consignors for the installation and explaining of operations for simple tuners and upgrading of house antennas in relation to the 2009 digital broadcast receiver support project, and the consigner for these services has been decided.

Due to the total transition to digital broadcasting on July 24, 2011 and the offering of simple tuners free-of-charge to households who are in economic distress (Households who are exempt from NHK reception fees), in an effort to offer the least amount of equipment to view digital broadcasting, applications were accepted from service consignors for the installation and explaining of operations for simple tuners and upgrading of house antennas.
