The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has published on the web results of shared facilities which were established in large cities for buildings in shadow with poor reception, and the results include the Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka areas.

The MIC plans to make public survey results for additional areas in the future.

Purpose

The understanding of digital reception conditions is vital when facility managers and users are studying the transition to digital broadcasting for facilities. If there is no obstruction to the digital broadcasting, it is possible for users to attach antennas to their own roofs or transfer to cable television to receive digital broadcasting.
