In February, which is Information Security Month, related events will be held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) for the purpose of spreading and promoting information security measures.

Outline

Since 2009, the government has declared February to be Information Security Month to spread and raise public awareness of information security. Seeking to widely spread and promote the importance of information security among citizens, government institutions have from the start promoted concentrated efforts gaining widespread participation from citizens of all classes, with the widespread cooperation of other institutions and organizations concerned.

Based on this objective, events contributing to the spread and promotion of information security measures will be held at the MIC and at general telecommunications offices across Japan.
