"Action Plan for Frequency Reallocation" (Revised Version, February 2010) Announced


The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has reviewed the Action Plan for Frequency Reallocation (Revised Version, November 2008) and announced the Action Plan for Frequency Reallocation (Revised Version, February 2010) in order to smoothly and soundly reallocate specific frequencies based on the July 2009 results of the Fiscal 2008 Radio Wave Usage Condition Survey (of frequencies at or below 770 MHz), the New Radio Wave Industry Creation Strategy (July 2009), etc. Furthermore, when the draft of this revision was settled upon, comments were solicited on it between Friday, November 27 and Monday, December 28, 2009, so they and the MIC's view will be announced.

Background and Purpose

The MIC has been settling on Action Plans for Frequency Reallocation and updating and announcing the plan each year since 2004 in order to show that there are specific initiatives to follow-up on the smooth and sound reallocation of specific frequencies based on the results of the Radio Wave Usage Condition Surveys.

Now the MIC will review the Action Plan for Frequency Reallocation (Revised Version, November 2008) based on the July 2009 results of the Fiscal 2008 Radio Wave Usage Condition Survey, the New Radio Wave Industry Creation Strategy (July 2009), etc.
