Comments Solicited on Draft Ministerial Ordinance, etc. to Partially Revise the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Law


The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will solicit comments between Friday, February 12 and Monday, March 15, 2010 on a draft ministerial ordinance revising the style of reports prescribed in Article 57 of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Telecommunications Business Law (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance No. 25, Year 1985) and the style of accident reports stipulated in Article 7, paragraph 2 of the Ordinance for Telecommunications Business Reports (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance No. 46, Year 1988), as well as a draft notice fully revising prescribed styles and accidents reported separately by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC Notice No. 146, Year 2008).

Background and Outline of Revisions

Revisions, etc. will be made to the style of accident reports for items concerning telecommunications accidents among those suggested in the findings of the Information and Communications Council ("Technical Requirements for IP Phone Terminals, etc. and Matters Concerning Telecommunications Accidents, etc."[Year 2005 Inquiry No. 2020] [Partial Findings], part of the "Technical Requirements of Telecommunications Equipment Compatible with IP Networks").
