Migration to terrestrial digital broadcasting is scheduled to be complete by the time terrestrial analog broadcasting is terminated on July 24, 2011.
Since July 24, 2010 falls exactly one year before the termination of terrestrial analog broadcasting, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is cooperating with The Association for National Promotion of Digital Broadcasting and The Association for Promotion of Digital Broadcasting (Dpa) to increase awareness of this landmark event through public relations activities in the form of a meeting to be held at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and a parade along Nishi Ginza Dori.
