Second Public Presentation to be Held concerning Plans for Establishing Multimedia Broadcasting for Mobile Devices


On July 27 (Tue), 2010, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a second public presentation concerning plans for establishing multimedia broadcasting for mobile devices.


1. Background, etc.
 From May 6 to June 7, 2010, applications from two parties were submitted for the authorization of plans for the establishment of special base stations using frequencies between 207.5MHz and 222MHz to implement multimedia broadcasting for mobile devices.
 On June 25 (Fri), 2010, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held a public presentation concerning plans for establishing multimedia broadcasting for mobile devices.
 A second public presentation will now be held as per the enclosed documents.

2. Acceptance of attendees

 Persons who would like to attend this presentation should apply in advance, no later than 12:00 on July 26 (Mon), via fax or e-mail directed to the contact address.
 (Please understand that the situation of the venue dictates that the number of attendees accepted may be limited.)
