Since September 2010, the Broadband Mobile Wireless Access Systems Commission, Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee (Chief Examiner: Makoto Ando, Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Engineering) has deliberated over technical requirements for increased speed of broadband mobile wireless access systems (excluding the FWA System).
A draft report has now been compiled, concerning which opinions will be sought from November 12 to December 12 (Sun), 2010 in accordance with the summary provided below.

2. Summary
This draft report compiles results from the deliberation carried out by the Broadband Mobile Wireless Access Systems Commission, Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee concerning technical requirements for increased speed of broadband mobile wireless access systems (excluding the FWA System) since September 2010.
The “Draft Report from Broadband Mobile Wireless Access Systems Commission” will be published in the “Reports and announcements” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website as well in the “Public comment” section of e-Gov, the coordinated electronic government contact website. The document will also be supplied for browsing at the point of contact (Broadband Mobile Wireless Access Systems Commission Secretariat).
3. Outline of appeal for opinions
Please refer to the enclosed document.
4. Deadline for submission of opinions
Opinions must arrive no later than 17:00 on December 12 (Sun), 2010.
5. Points to remember when submitting opinions
Written opinions submitted, including information relating to the opinions therein, names of proponents (names of corporations, etc., where appropriate) and other contextual information, may be published at a future date.
