The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will open a “Global ICT Expansion Panel Discussion” for the consideration of specific policy development for the global expansion of excellent Japanese ICT.
1. Background and purpose
Due to Japan's low birth rate and rapidly aging society, as well as anticipated degeneration of the domestic market, there is a need to aim for conversion to ICT industries, which have propelled global market growth. This panel discussion will be opened from the perspective of considering specific policy development for the global expansion of excellent Japanese ICT.
2. Matters to be considered
(1) Japan's role in global ICT expansion
(2) How to form subjects for globally expandable ICT projects
(3) Promotional policy for standardization strategy aimed at global ICT expansion
(4) How to finance ICT projects
(5) Implementation systems for global expansion of ICT projects
(6) PDCA for project implementation, such as progress control for separate projects
