The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is organizing the International Workshop on Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) for telecommunications equipment from 24-25 March 2011 in Tokyo, Japan.
1.Purpose
The workshop is designed to promote efficient utilization of the MRA and to nurture the development of internationally respected conformity assessment bodies (CABs). The workshop program includes presentations and information exchange on updated certification systems and technical regulations for telecommunications equipment.
2.Date and venue, etc.

- Date: Thursday 24 March and Friday 25 March 2011 (two days)
- Venue: “Chiyoda Media Plaza”
(Address: 1-1, Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan)
- Participants: Capacity approx. 100 people

3.Application form
Prospective participants should complete the application form (Attachment 2 (In Excel Format)) and submit it by email to mra-r@soumu.go.jp no later than Wednesday 16 March 2011. Please note that the number of participants may be restricted in the event of a larger-than-expected number of applications.
