Appeal for Opinions on “Regional ICT Activation Panel Discussion Study Agenda”

  In January 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) opened a “Regional ICT Activation Panel Discussion” chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the same Panel Discussion has now compiled a “Regional ICT Activation Panel Discussion Study Agenda.” Accordingly, an appeal for opinions on this Study Agenda will be held from February 22 (Tue) to March 17 (Thu), 2011.


1. Background, etc.

  In January 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) opened a “Regional ICT Activation Panel Discussion” chaired by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the same Panel Discussion has now compiled a “Regional ICT Activation Panel Discussion Study Agenda.” Accordingly, an appeal will now be held for opinions on the items published in the “Regional ICT Activation Panel Discussion Study Agenda,” which include challenges faced by regions in dealing with beneficial use of ICT, the direction of initiatives aimed at resolving such challenges, and so on.


2. Outline of appeal for opinions

(2) Submission deadline
    Must arrive by 17:00 on March 17 (Thu), 2011 (mailed submissions must also arrive by this date)

  Please note that the subject of this appeal for opinions will be published in the “Reports and documents” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website as well as in the “Public comments” section of the e-Gov coordinated electronic government website, and can also be inspected at the contact address provided at the end of this document.


3. Schedule

  The opinions submitted will be reported to the “Regional ICT Activation Panel Discussion” and will serve as references for discussions and studies. The same Panel Discussion will study the state of regional ICT activation and will aim to compile a final proposal in June of this year.
