Report by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Compliance Room on Inspection of Nippon Mail Transportation Problems

 

This is to officially announce the outline of a report submitted from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Compliance Room concerning inspections of Nippon Mail Transportation Co., Ltd., which were turned over to the Compliance Room as a remaining problem in a report from the Special Committee for Investigation of Japan Post Governance Problems.


1. Background

  In a report from the Special Committee for Investigation of Japan Post Governance Problems (report published May 17, 2010), results from inspections carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Compliance Room, concerning the problem that had been assigned to the Compliance Room (namely the problem relating to the process by which the Postal Service Company had integrated the main mail-specific automobile companies commissioned to carry out its mail transportation business as a wholly-owned subsidiary (Nippon Mail Transportation Co., Ltd.)), were reported to the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications.
