The Mobile Communications System Committee, Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee (Chief Examiner: Makoto Ando, Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Engineering) has now compiled a draft report on “technical requirements for an 80GHz-band high speed wireless communication system,” and opinions on this draft report will be sought from February 25 (Fri) to March 28 (Mon), 2011, in accordance with the outline provided below.

Since October 21, 2010, the Low Power Radio System Committee, Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee (known as the Mobile Communications System Committee since January 18, 2011) has deliberated on the technical requirements for an 80GHz-band high speed wireless communication system, and this compiles the results of deliberation to date.
Please note that the “draft report from the Mobile Communications System Committee, Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee” will be published in the “Reports and documents” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website as well as in the “Public comments” section of the e-Gov coordinated electronic government website, and can also be inspected at the point of contact (the Mobile Communications System Committee Secretariat).

5. Points to remember when submitting opinions
