The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold a "Japan-China Ubiquitous Network Symposium" on March 25 (Fri), 2011, at Mita Public Conference Center Auditorium.
1. Purpose of symposium
Since the middle of 2009, China has commenced the regularization of initiatives concerning "IOT" (Internet Of Things), and its urban application and industrialization have begun to gain great momentum. In relation to these trends, consideration is being given to the leveraging of technological developments in ubiquitous networks as well as to the expertise of Japan, which has come to make beneficial use of these developments. In light of this, the "China-Japan IOT Promotion Alliance" was inaugurated in January 2011 as an industry-academic cooperation organization composed of Japanese and Chinese corporations, universities, research institutions, etc., with the aim of contributing to the healthy growth of "IOT" industry, as well as the growth of participants, through mutual Japan-China exchanges and application of technology, intelligence and experience. Now, a "Japan-China Ubiquitous Network Symposium" is to be held in order to conduct discussions (expert panel discussion, etc.) on the subject of ubiquitous network technology between Japan and China, and persons concerned with the "China-Japan IOT Promotion Alliance" from China have been invited to attend this symposium.
