Results from Appeal for Opinions on Partial Revision of Item Establishing Particulars of Telecommunications Number Regulations

 

  From January 27 to February 25, 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) conducted an appeal for opinions on a bulletin plan (hereinafter, "reform proposal") for partial revision of the item establishing the particulars of telecommunications number regulations (1997 Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Bulletin No. 574).
  Since there were no opinions submitted in response to this appeal, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will promptly carry out reform based on the original proposal.


1. Outline of reform proposal

  This reform proposal revises area codes in a certain area (the former Keihoku-cho) of Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, in order to unify the telephone area codes of Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture.
  By means of this revision, the unification of administrative boundaries and area code boundaries will make it will possible in the relevant areas to dial from local office numbers when calling inside Kyoto City.


2. Results from appeal for opinions

  An appeal for opinions on the reform proposal (see attachment) was conducted from January 27 to February 25, 2011, but no opinions were submitted.


3. Schedule

  Based on these results, reform will promptly be carried out in line with the original proposal.
