On March 29, 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) approved an application from eAccess Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Eric Gan) concerning the succession of authorized establishment status involving plans for the establishment of special base stations for the introduction of 3.9G mobile communications systems.
1. Background, etc.
On June 10, 2009, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) authorized an application from EMOBILE, Ltd. for plans for the establishment of special base stations, based on the Radio Law (1950 Law, Act No. 131) and "Guidelines for Establishment of Special Base Stations for Introduction of 3.9G Mobile Communications Systems" (2009 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Bulletin No. 248).
After the recent takeover of EMOBILE Ltd. by eAccess Ltd., an application was received from eAccess Ltd. for the succession of authorized establishment status involving the same establishment plans, based on Article 27, Clause 16 of the same Law application mutatis mutandis pursuant to provisions in Article 20, Clause 2.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) approved this application on March 29, 2011, after examining the application and finding it to be appropriate for approval.
