Approval of Revisions for NTT East and NTT West Type I Designated Telecommunications Equipment Connection Agreements (Reform of Connection Fees for FY 2011 Based on Long-term Incremental Expense System)

Reply from Information and Communications Administration and Postal System Administration Council

  On March 29, 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received a reply from the Information and Communications Administration and Postal System Administration Council stating that "the approval of revisions for NTT East and NTT West Type I designated telecommunications equipment connection agreements (reform of connection fees for FY 2011 based on the Long-term Incremental Expense System)" (Inquiry No. 3032 – dated February 22, 2011) should be approved as per the original inquiry.
  Based on the Council's reply, this matter will be approved as of March 29, 2011.


1. Outline of revisions

  With the ministerial ordinance plan for partial revision of connection fee regulations (2011 MIC Order No. 1) and the ministerial ordinance partially revising the ministerial ordinance plan for partial revision of connection fee regulations (2011 MIC Order No. 2) having been promulgated and partially enforced on February 1, 2011, this revision plan carries out necessary revision of NTT East and NTT West connection agreements, including provisions for FY 2011 connection fees calculated using the Long-Run Average Incremental Cost (LRIC) system.
