Results from Appeal for Opinions on Basic Draft Plan concerning “Research relating to Quantitative Investigation of Opthalmic Radio Wave Absorption” in FY 2011, and Selection of Proposals

 

 Prior to making a public appeal for proposals regarding “research relating to quantitative investigation of opthalmic radio wave absorption” in FY 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has compiled a basic draft plan for the implementation of this research and conducted an appeal for opinions on this basic draft plan from February 26 to March 28, 2011. However, since no opinions were submitted, a basic plan has been has been settled on as per the draft, and there will be a public appeal for the same research task proposals based on this plan.

   Since no opinions were submitted, a basic plan has been has been settled on as per the draft, and there will be a public appeal for the same research task proposals based on this plan.

3. Research tasks appealed for and planned implementation budgets

 In FY 2011, the following research task will be engaged in based on the basic draft plan, and there will now be a public appeal for proposals. The estimated first year budget for research implementation is also given below. The stated implementation period is a rough estimate.


As a general rule, one proposal will be selected for each subject.

4. How to apply

 Please submit one written proposal with a duplicate and any other necessary documents (see the proposal creation outline for more details) by mail to arrive no later than May 23 (Mon), 2011.
 Documents connected to applications are listed in the attachment.
 For collaborative research (when multiple businesses work together on research subjects, etc.), please submit proposals to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) after they have been compiled by the representative research institution.


5. Selection of commissions

 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will select commissions after receiving the results of external assessments.


6. Schedule

Middle of May to end of June: External assessments to be conducted, on the basis of which research institutions will be selected as candidates for commissions
Beginning of June to middle of June: Sending of notifications confirming selections Publication of public appeal results on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website*
After notification of selections: After completing coordination with selected research institutions, contracts will promptly be executed and research implemented Please note that the schedule may change depending on external assessment conditions, etc.

*There will be an official announcement of the selected research institutions (in the case of collaborative research, each institution) and research supervisors (in the case of collaborative research, only the representative research supervisor).
