Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report from Mobile Communications System Committee

Concerning technical requirements for 920 MHz-band electronic tag system, etc.

  The Mobile Communications System Committee, Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee (Chief Examiner: Makoto Ando, Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Engineering) has been examining technical requirements for a 920 MHz-band electronic tag system since February 2011.
  The Committee has now compiled a draft report, opinions on which will be sought from May 7 (Sat) to June 6 (Mon), 2011 as per the outline below.

2. Outline

  The Mobile Communications System Committee, Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee has been examining technical requirements for a 920 MHz-band electronic tag system since February 2011, and this draft report compiles its findings.
  Please note that the “Mobile Communications System Committee Draft Report” will be published in the “Reports and documents” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and in the “Public comment” section of e-Gov (http://www.e-gov.go.jp), the electronic coordinated government contact website. It will also be provided for inspection via the contact desk at the Mobile Communications System Committee Office.

4. Submission deadline

  Must arrive no later than 17:00 on June 6, 2011


5. Points to remember when submitting opinions

Written opinions submitted, including information relating to the opinions therein, names of proponents (names of corporations, etc., where appropriate) and other contextual information, may be published at a future date. Also, please understand that we are unable to provide replies concerning each separate opinion.


6. Schedule

  A report will be compiled based on results from the appeal for opinions.
