Reply from Radio Regulatory Council concerning Comprehensive License for Special Radio Stations belonging to KDDI Corporation

 

 On June 14, 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chairman: Hiroshi Harashima, emeritus professor at The University of Tokyo) concerning an application for a comprehensive license for special radio stations belonging to KDDI Corporation (President and CEO: Takashi Tanaka), and a reply was received stating the Council's approval for granting the comprehensive license as outlined in the inquiry.


1. Outline of application and inspection

 The following application was received from KDDI Corporation based on regulations in Article 27.2 of the Radio Law (Act No. 131 of 1950 Law).
・ An outline of the application for a comprehensive license for special radio stations in relation to land mobile stations using frequencies in the 800MHz, 1.5GHz and 2GHz bands can be found in the enclosed document.
      Having inspected this application, it has been recognized as conforming to regulations in Article 27.4 of the Radio Law.


2. Reply from Radio Regulatory Council

 On June 14, 2011, an inquiry was submitted to the Radio Regulatory Council according to regulations in Clause 11.1.4 of Article 99 of the Radio Law, and a reply was received stating the Council's approval for granting the comprehensive license as outlined in the inquiry.


3. Schedule

 Based on the reply from the Radio Regulatory Council, a comprehensive license will promptly be assigned by the Kanto Bureau of Telecommunications.
