This is to officially announce that on July 12, 2011 the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) carried out reform of “Guidelines on the application of verifications (stack tests) of the relation between connection fees and charges to end-users” (hereinafter, “Guidelines”), based on results from an appeal for opinions.
1. Background
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) created “Guidelines on the application of verifications (stack tests) of the relation between connection fees and charges to end-users” based on the unbundling in FY 2010 of Ethernet frame transmission functions (Ethernet connection functions) in Next Generation Networks (NGN).
Opinions on this reform plan were sought from May 19 to June 17, 2011, in response to which four opinions were submitted.
This is to announce that the Guidelines were reformed on July 12, 2011, based on results from the appeal for opinions.
