The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) opened the “Panel Discussion Towards Strengthening Innovative Digital Content Resources” (Chairman: Ichiya Nakamura, Professor at Keio University Graduate School) and has carried out studies of promotional policy for the production and distribution of content. This is to officially announce that an interim report has been compiled concerning the results of these studies.
Background and purpose
Studies have been carried out by the “Panel Discussion Towards Strengthening Innovative Digital Content Resources,” which was opened from February 17, 2011 for the purpose of studying various policies promoting the production and distribution of content supporting recent technological progress, etc. towards achieving new growth by means of a new growth strategy called the “Cool Japan Promotion Strategy.”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hereafter promote specific initiatives based on this interim report.
