The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has drawn up its “2010 Assessment of State of Competition in Telecommunications Business Field (Draft).”
Accordingly, opinions on this draft assessment will be sought from July 27 (Wed) to August 22 (Mon), 2011.
1. Background
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has been assessing the state of competition in the telecommunications business field since FY 2003, and has now compiled the “2010 Assessment of State of Competition in Telecommunications Business Field (Draft)” as per the enclosed document.
Accordingly, the MIC is making an appeal for opinions on this draft assessment.
2. Outline of appeal for opinions
Target of appeal for opinions: “2010 Assessment of State of Competition in Telecommunications Business Field (Draft)”
Deadline for submission of opinions: Must arrive no later than 17:00 on August 22 (Fri), 2011 (mailed submissions must also arrive by this date)

Please note that the target of the appeal for opinions will be published in the “Reports and documents” section of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and in the “Public comment” area of the coordinated electronic government contact website, e-Gov (http://www.e-gov.go.jp). It will also be distributed via the contact address provided at the end of this document.
3. Schedule
Assessment results will be finalized based on the results of the appeal for opinions.
