Th Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has drafted bulletin plans (hereinafter, "ministerial ordinance plans, etc.") for partial revision of Regulations concerning Technical Standards Compliance Verification, etc. in Special Wireless Equipment; 2003 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Bulletin No. 460 (item establishing letters to be attached to special wireless equipment regulations, etc.); and 2007 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Bulletin No. 638 (item establishing classifications and other letters for registered foreign conformance assessment organizations based on the provision of form no. 7 in regulations relating to technical standards compliance, etc. in special wireless equipment, which is applied with changed wording due to regulations in Article 15 of enforcement regulations for the Act for Implementation of the Mutual Recognition between Japan and Foreign States in Relation to Results of Conformity Assessment Procedures of Specified Equipment). Accordingly, opinions on these ministerial ordinance plans, etc. will be sought from August 2 (Tue) to August 31 (Wed), 2011.
1. Background and outline of revisions
Taking into account recent forms of utilization of special wireless equipment, these revisions will simplify as one number the work plan certification numbers with regards to wireless equipment when special wireless equipment of two or above is included due to certification work plans differing from wireless equipment of one. The revisions will also ensure that it is possible to make work plan certification numbers relating to other certification work plans the same as work plan certification numbers relating to certification work plans of one when there is conformance to other certification work plans, without modifying work on wireless equipment that displays conformance based on certification work plans of one, so as to support wireless equipment displaying conformance that has already arrived on the market before modifications to technical standards after receiving certification.
