Appeal for Opinions on Radio Wave Utilization Environment Committee Draft Report

Concerning “measurement methods for the specific absorption rates of wireless devices, etc. in use close to the human body (excluding the temporal areas)” among “measurement methods for the specific absorption rates of mobile phone terminals, etc.”

 The Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee, Radio Wave Utilization Environment Committee (Chief Investigator: Osamu Fujiwara, Professor at Faculty of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology) has carried out survey studies concerning measurement methods for the specific absorption rates of mobile phone terminals, etc.
 As the Committee has now compiled a draft report, an appeal for opinions will be held from September 3 (Sat) to October 3 (Mon), 2011, in the line with the outline described below.

2. Outline

  The Information and Communications Council Technology Subcommittee, Radio Wave Utilization Environment Committee (Chief Investigator: Osamu Fujiwara, Professor at Faculty of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology) has studied measurement methods for the specific absorption rates of mobile phone terminals, etc., and this report compiles the results of survey studies to date.
  Please note that the “Radio Wave Utilization Environment Committee Draft Report” will be published in the “Reports and documents” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website as well as in the “Public comments” section of the e-Gov coordinated electronic government website, and can also be inspected at the point of contact (the Radio Wave Utilization Environment Committee Secretariat).


3. Submission deadline

  October 3 (Mon), 2011 (must arrive by 17:00)


4. Points to remember when submitting opinions

  Written opinions submitted, including information relating to the opinions therein, names of proponents (names of corporations, etc., where appropriate) and other contextual information, may be published at a future date.
 Also, please understand that we are unable to provide replies concerning each separate opinion.


5. Schedule

  A report will be compiled based on results from the appeal for opinions.
