A forum will be held to introduce the latest research and development trends and announce the results from 61 R&D projects promoted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) so as to encourage the use of results from ICT R&D to date in the emergence of pioneering innovation.
1. Purpose of Forum
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is strategically promoting innovative ICT R&D to meet socio-economic needs. This forum aims to encourage the use of results from ICT R&D to date in the emergence of pioneering innovation, by introducing the latest ICT R&D trends and announcing through addresses and exhibitions the results from 61 R&D projects promoted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) as “research and development of technology emphasizing ICT*1” in connection with the “Strategic Information and Communications R&D Promotion Programme (SCOPE)*2.”
*1 “Research and development of technology emphasizing ICT” refers to R&D implemented through commissions for research tasks that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is focused on promoting.
*2 “SCOPE” is a competitive capital system that carries out public appeals for R&D tasks and implements creative and novel R&D.
