On September 14, 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) referred to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chairman: Hiroshi Harashima, emeritus professor at the University of Tokyo) an objection raised by a cable television broadcasting business in Koichi prefecture (Yosakoi Cable Net, Inc. (CEO: Tadashi Nishiuchi)).
