Official Announcement of Opinions on Ministerial Ordinance Plan for Partial Revision of Connection Fee Regulations
On November 29, 2011, the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council received an inquiry from the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications concerning a “ministerial ordinance plan for partial revision of connection fee regulations.”
Having received this inquiry, an appeal for opinions on this ministerial ordinance plan was then held from November 30, 2011 to January 4, 2012, in response to which three opinions were submitted. These opinions are officially announced herein.
1. Outline of ministerial ordinance plan
This plan updates the input values established in the Annexed Table of the Connection Fee Regulations for calculation of connection fees (subscriber exchange functions and trunk exchanges, etc.) in FY 2012 based on long-term incremental expense model for connection fees covering Type 1 designated telecommunications equipment installed by NTT East and NTT West.
2. Submitted opinions
The content of the opinions will be published in the “Reports and documents” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website (http://www.soumu.go.jp), and can also be inspected at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Information and Communications Bureau, General Affairs Division (11th Floor, MIC).
3. Schedule
Study and deliberation relating to this ministerial ordinance plan will be conducted based on the opinions submitted, and a reply will be issued to the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications.
