Partial Revision of Connection Fee Regulations (Update of Input Values for Calculation of Connection Fees in FY 2012 and Beyond Based on the Long-term Incremental Expense System)

 On January 23, 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received a reply from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council (Chairman: Atsushi Takahashi, Chairman of Board of Directors at Sumitomo Trust and Banking Company, Ltd.) concerning partial revision of connection fee regulations (Inquiry No. 3035, dated November 29, 2011).
 Based on this reply, the MIC will promptly revise the connection fee regulations (2000 Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Order No. 64).

1. Outline of ministerial ordinance plan

 This updates with the latest values the input values established in the annexed table of the connection fee regulations, in order to calculate connection fees (subscriber exchange and trunk exchange functions, etc.) for FY 2012 based on the long-term incremental expense system in Type 1 designated telecommunications equipment installed by NTT East and NTT West.

2. Schedule

  Based on this reply, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will promptly revise the connection fee regulations.
