The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold related events in the period around February's “Information Security Month” with the aim of spreading and promoting information security countermeasures.
Since FY 2009, the Japanese Government has held “Information Security Month” every February in order to strengthen information security-related public awareness, and will intensively promote events with extensive participation from each stratum of society with cooperation from Government bodies, other relevant organizations and bodies from the perspective of spreading and promoting the importance of information security to a wide range of citizens.
Based on these aims, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will hold related events in all parts of Japan, focusing on this Ministry and Regional Bureau of Communications, in the period around February's “Information Security Month” with the aim of spreading and promoting information security countermeasures.

(1) Lectures
Lectures will be held to contribute to the spread and promotion of information security countermeasures in all parts of Japan, focusing on each Regional Bureau of Communications (including the Okinawa Office of Telecommunications), the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, and related organizations, etc.
(2) e-Net Safety Course (e-Net Caravan)
A course will be held for public awareness aimed at safe and secure Internet use to protect children from Internet-related trouble, mainly targeting guardians and teachers.
