The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) accepted applications for authorization of establishment plans for special base stations for diffusion of 3.9G mobile communications systems, etc. from December 14, 2011 to January 27, 2012, during which time there were four applications.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) accepted applications for authorization of establishment plans for special base stations for diffusion of 3.9G mobile communications systems, etc. from December 14, 2011 to January 27, 2012, during which time the following four applications were received.
Applicants (alphabetical order)
○eAccess, Ltd. (President & CEO: Sachio Senmoto)
○KDDI, Inc. (President & CEO: Takashi Tanaka)
/Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company (President & CEO: Hiroshi Kitagawa)
○NTT DoCoMo, Inc. (President & CEO: Ryuji Yamada)
○SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. (President & CEO: Masayoshi Son)
*Please note that the application from KDDI Inc. and Okinawa Cellular Telephone Company is taken as an application from cooperative parties in each region, so based on regulations in Article 6, Item 2 of the Establishment Guidelines for Special Base Stations for Diffusion of 3.9G Mobile Communications Systems (2011 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Bulletin No. 513), these are deemed as one application and will be inspected as such.
From now on, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will deliberate over the applications, submit an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council and receive a reply from the Council, before authorizing the establishment plans.
