The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) drafted a Bulletin Plan for Partial Revision of 2004 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Bulletin No. 88 (Item Establishing Test Procedure for Special Examinations; hereinafter, “Bulletin”), concerning which opinions were sought from December 29, 2011 to January 30, 2012. One opinion was submitted in response to this appeal.
Following the revision of Radio Equipment Regulations (1950 Radio Regulatory Council Regulation No. 18) and Regulations for Technical Standards Compliance Verification, etc. in Special Wireless Equipment (1981 Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Order No. 37; hereinafter referred to as “Verification Regulations”) and the introduction of new types of digital cordless phones, the MIC has decided to partially revise the Bulletin based on provisions in Verification Regulations annexed table 1.1(3).
There will be revision of the Bulletin, with amendment of test procedure relating to item (1) and the new addition of test procedure relating to items (2) and (3).
(1) TDMA format narrowband digital cordless phones
[special wireless equipment provided for in Verification Regulations Article 2, Clause 1, Items 21 and 22 through to 23-3]
(2) TDMA format broadband digital cordless phones (DECT-based format)
[special wireless equipment provided for in Verification Regulations Article 2, Clause 1, Item 21-2]
(3) Time sharing/orthogonal FDMA format digital cordless phones (sPHS format)
[special wireless equipment provided for in Verification Regulations Article 2, Clause 1, Item 21-3]
The bulletin will promptly be revised based on the results of the appeal for opinions.
