On February 10, 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) submitted an inquiry to the Radio Regulatory Council (Chairman: Tadaaki Maeda, Adviser to Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd.) concerning authorization of main satellite broadcasting business in relation to 110 east longitude CS digital broadcasting, and a reply was received from the Council stating its approval of the original motion.
From August 19 to September 30, 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) accepted requests for authorization of main satellite broadcasting business in relation to 110 east longitude CS digital broadcasting.
Thereafter, inspections progressed based on laws and ordinances, and on February 10, 2012 an inquiry was submitted to the Radio Regulatory Council concerning authorization of the requests, and a reply was received from the Council stating its approval of the original motion.
Each application was inspected based on regulations in Article 93, Item 1 of the Broadcast Act, and Articles 6, 7 and 8 of the Broadcast Act-related inspection standards.
Based on the Radio Regulatory Council’s reply of February 10, 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) will authorize requests.
