Results from Appeal for Opinions on Draft Report from Mobile Communications System Committee

Concerning “technical requirements for 79GHz-band high-resolution radar” within “technical requirements for ITS wireless systems”
 The Information and Communications Council, Information and Communications Technology Sub-Council, Mobile Communications System Committee (Chief Examiner: Makoto Ando, Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Engineering) has been considering technical requirements for 79GHz-band high-resolution radar since February 2010.
 The Committee has now compiled a draft report, opinions on which will be sought from February 29 (Wed) to March 29 (Thu), 2012 as per the outline below.

1. Subject of appeal for opinions

2. Outline

 The Information and Communications Council, Information and Communications Technology Sub-Council, Mobile Communications System Committee has been considering technical requirements for 79GHz-band high-resolution radar since February 2010, and this draft report compiles its findings.

 Please note that the “Mobile Communications System Committee Draft Report” will be published in the “Reports and documents” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and in the “Public comment” section of e-Gov (http://www.e-gov.go.jp), the electronic coordinated government contact website. It will also be provided for inspection via the contact desk at the Mobile Communications System Committee Office.

3. Period of appeal

Opinions must arrive no later than 17:00 on March 29 (Thu), 2012

4. Points to remember when submitting opinions

 Written opinions submitted, including information relating to the opinions therein, names of proponents (names of corporations, etc., where appropriate) and other contextual information, may be published at a future date.

 Also, please understand that we are unable to provide replies concerning each separate opinion.

5. Schedule

A report will be compiled based on results from the appeal for opinions.
