2. Outline

　Since September 2011, the Committee for Upgrading Mobile Phones., Information and Communications Council Information and Communications Technology Sub-Council has been studying “technical requirements for increased speed of broadband mobile wireless access systems” as found in the “Technical Requirements for Broadband Mobile Wireless Access System Using 2.5GHz Band”, and this report compiles study results to date.

　Please note that the “Draft Report from Committee for Upgrading Mobile Phones.” will be published in the “Reports and documents” area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and in the “Public comment” section of e-Gov (http://www.e-gov.go.jp), the electronic coordinated government contact website. It will also be provided for inspection via the contact desk at the Office of the Committee for Upgrading Mobile Phones.

3. Period of appeal

Opinions must arrive no later than 17:00 on March 30 (Fri), 2012

4. Points to remember when submitting opinions

Written opinions submitted, including information relating to the opinions therein, names of proponents (names of corporations, etc., where appropriate) and other contextual information, may be published at a future date. Also, please understand that we are unable to provide replies concerning each separate opinion.

A report will be compiled based on results from the appeal for opinions.
