Authorization of Establishment Plans for Special Base Stations for Diffusion of 3.9G Mobile Communications Systems, etc.

1. Outline

　The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) accepted applications for authorization of establishment plans for special base stations for diffusion of 3.9G mobile communications systems, etc. from December 14, 2011 to January 27, 2012, during which time the following four applications were received.

　Inspection of these applications was conducted based on inspection standards established in Article 27, Clause 13.4 of the Radio Law (Act No. 131 of 1950) and establishment guidelines, and on February 29, 2012 an inquiry was submitted to the Radio Regulatory Council concerning authorization of the establishment plan of Softbank Mobile, Inc., in response to which a reply was received from the Council stating its approval of the original plan.

2. Schedule

　Based on the reply the MIC received from the Radio Regulatory Council on February 29, 2012, the establishment plan of Softbank Mobile, Inc. will be authorized.
