Result of Appeal for Opinions on Directive Plan for Partial Revision of Radio Law-related Inspection Standards

System maintenance for diffusion of 3.9G mobile communications systems
 From January 24 to February 23, 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) held an appeal for opinions on its directive plan for partial revision of Radio Law-related inspection standards in order to carry out system maintenance for the diffusion of 3.9G mobile communications systems, but no opinions were submitted in response to this appeal.
 Based on the result of the appeal for opinions, on March 8 the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) partially revised the Radio Law-related inspection standards.

1. Outline of revisions

 To accompany the promulgation and enforcement of the ministerial ordinance for partial revision of Radio Law-related inspection standards dated December 14, 2011 (2011 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Order No. 162), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC)has drafted a directive plan for partial revision of Radio Law-related inspection standards in order to carry out maintenance of regulations required in relation with system maintenance for diffusion of 3.9G mobile communications systems.
 
(1) Maintenance of inspection standards for licenses when those who wish to establish special base stations relating to mobile communications systems using the 900MHz band are required to take measures encouraging termination.
(2) Maintenance of inspection standards for smooth frequency reorganization, since the 950MHz electronic tag system has been moved to 915-930MHz, the MCA system has been moved to 930-940MHz, and expiry dates have been established for personal radio frequencies.
(3) Maintenance of other necessary regulations.

2. Result of appeal for opinions

 No opinions were submitted.
 Also, based on the result of the appeal for opinions, on March 8 the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) partially revised the Radio Law-related inspection standards.
