Approval of Modifications for Connection Agreements relating to Type 1 Designated Telecommunications Equipment of NTT East and NTT West (Revision of Connection Fees, etc. for FY 2012 based on Long-term Incremental Expense Model)

  On March 29, 2012, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) received a reply from the Information and Communications and Posts Administrative Council concerning “approval of modifications to connection agreements relating to Type 1 designated telecommunications equipment installed by NTT East and NTT West (reform of connection fees, etc. for FY 2012 based on long-term incremental expense model)” (Inquiry No. 3040 – dated February 21, 2012) and stating its approval of the original plan.  
  Based on the Council's reply, approval of this matter will be granted as of same day.

1. Outline of modifications

  With the ministerial ordinance partially revising connection fee regulations (2012 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Ministerial Ordinance No. 7) having been promulgated and partially enforced as of January 30, 2012, these modifications are necessary for NTT East and West connection agreements in order to regulate connection fees, etc. in FY 2012 calculated using the long-term incremental expense model.
