“Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” to be initiated

1. Objective

  This Investigative Commission will be initiated in order to investigate various problems and specific policy for the effective use of radio spectrum that are necessary for improving the convenience of people's lives and ensuring their safety and security as frequencies are rapidly becoming scarce due to the development of wireless broadband, etc.
 

2. Study content

(1) Regulations that are suitable for new wireless systems
(2) Policy promoting upgrade and diffusion of wireless systems through use of radio spectrum usage fees
(3) Policy strengthening Spectrum Reallocation
(4) Other problems relating to promotion of effective use of radio spectrum
 

3. Time and date of first meeting

  The first meeting will be held from 10:00 on April 11 (Wed), 2012 at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Ministry Discussion Room (7th Floor, Central Gov't. Building No. 2).
