Appeal for Opinions on Subjects to be Considered toward Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Waves

  The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) has held “Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” (Chairman: Norihisa Doi, Professor of Research and Development Initiatives, Chuo University) in order to deliberation of various issues and specific measures for effective use of radio waves. From April 13 (Fri) to May 14 (Mon), 2012, the MIC will hold an appeal for opinions on subjects to be considered toward the promotion of effective use of radio waves to contribute to discussions at the Investigative Commission.

1.Purpose

  The MIC has established “Investigative Commission for Promotion of Effective Use of Radio Spectrum” (hereinafter “Investigative Commission”) on March 30 (Fri), 2012 to initiate considerations on various subjects and specific measures for effective use of radio waves.
  The MIC will hold an appeal for opinions on subjects to be considered which contribute to future discussions at Investigative Commission toward the promotion of effective use of radio waves.
 

2.Appeal for opinions

(1) Subject: Please submit us your opinion on the following subjects
  1. Views on draft subjects to be considered 
  2. Subjects to be considered which should be added to Attachment 1 toward the promotion of effective use of radio waves and views on added subjects to be considered
  3. Others

(2) Deadline of submission: 12:00 Noon, May 14 (Mon), 2012
  This appeal for opinions will be posted in the column of “press release” on the MIC website (http://www.soumu.go.jp) and the column of “public comments” on the e-government portal (e-Gov) (http://www.e-gov.go.jp) and also distributed at counters of contact.
 

3.Matters to remember

(1) Handling of opinions Opinions submitted will be used as reference for discussions at Investigative Commission. The content of opinions will be compiled after the period of the appeal for opinions expires and officially announced. Information such as names and affiliations (in the case of corporations, their names) of persons who submit opinions may also be announced officially. If you have any inconvenience about this official announcement, please contact the Secretariat. Please be reminded that we are not able to provide any answer to each opinion.

(2) Hearing of content of opinions We may ask persons who submit opinions to provide explanations on them at Investigative Commission in order to ascertain the content of opinions submitted in detail. Please be reminded that the Secretariat will contact you in advance, when we ask you to provide explanations. We are not responsible for covering transportation expenses, etc. incurred for the participation in hearing by Investigative Commission.
