Official Announcement of Notification Content Concerning Utilization Business of East Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation

1.Background

  When NTT East intends to conduct any utilization business, it shall notify the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of matters prescribed matters by Ministerial Ordinance of MIC in advance pursuant to the provision of Article 2, Paragraph 5 of the NTT Act.
  Based on this provision, NTT East has submitted a written notification of matters prescribed by Article 2-2 of the Rules for Enforcement of the Act Concerning Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, Etc. (Ministerial Ordinance of MPT No. 23 of 1985, hereinafter the “Rules for Enforcement of the NTT Act”) on April 27, 2012, and the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications received it.
  It is officially announced herein today based on the provision of Article 2-3 of the Rules for Enforcement of the NTT Act.
 

2.Date of commencement of business

  NTT East has set the commencement date of business as June 1 (Fri), 2012 in the written notification.
 

3.Future plans

  The content of a confirmation made by the MIC concerning the notified business will be posted in the portal site of telecommunication competition policy (http://www.soumu.go.jp/joho_tsusin/eidsystem/competition.html)
